Default 3ds max to vector? 3D to laser?

Is there any other tool other than pangolin 3DSM program?

I own 3ds max and have blender too.. i have no clue how to do a proper conversion.
Tracing gives a lot of points and is not that precise.

You can use the illustrate! plugin (free 30 day trial) with ILD SOS to generate ilda files that can play in any laser software.

There is also another option for blender and ILD SOS that renderer is very slow and has a few bugs:

Unistall 3ds and illustrate. Delete left over directories. Clean registry with CClean. And reinstall all.

    how good is this program?
is there any examples of the program in action?
Also isn't there a free alternative?

Be honest Illustrate! was never designed for Laser animation. Illustrate! is a powerful cartoonizer for 3ds. It was adapted by technics and by dxf imports to Laser boy and then to SOS. There a few workarounds for gradient but as far as vector rendering is a very solid software. The best we got. (besides pro software like Protize (Lasergraph) and Max converter (Pangolin) or standalone Utopia)

is there any examples of the program in action?

I know people who use SOS to optimize output from Max converter, so it works pretty well I guess

here is the biggest example (for 30k scanners, some parts have 'point pulling' treatment from SOS.
