We never seem to know that until we start placing them on whatever structure we are using to place them on...

Last year all projectors basically pointed straight back and it was kind of boring. Perhaps this time the outside projectors can be angled across the seating somewhat.

    Well, I would -
but since I won't be there until Friday afternoon, I HOPE the projectors will basically be set up by then!!

I'm basically just a partial-participant again this year (not bringing my projector) -
But if I WERE assisting with the planning, I would recommend, if at all possible, beam projectors left, center, and right, and at least one strong graphics projector center.

Is Flecom still handling the network / show control operations center?

The plan this year is to take Casey Stack's advice and point the end projectors inward towards the middle, giving a "crossing of the beams" effect. Also, the ILDA splitter will be used more effectively this year, I promise.

We will have a dedicated graphics projector at the back of the house, or possibly in the balcony, that will be aimed forward to display graphics and abstract shows on the main screen that rolls down just in front of the main curtain. We will try to leave a "hole" in the scaffold and truss arrangement to allow graphics to be projected.

No set plan for the scrim yet, but it might end up in the audience, if we use it at all this year.

Regarding specific zones, I posted a template a while back for left, right, and center, but I don't know if anyone besides me is actually using it when creating multi-projector shows. I expect there will be a bit of fiddling required to get it right in any case.

Ok, maybe a little more that a bit then. But we'll get it working one way or another.

By scheduling the graphics shows earlier in the day, that gives us more time to work on stage (behind the curtain) on network issues while shows are running in the auditorium. Hopefully things will go smoother this time around. (We really should have this down to a science by now...)

During setup I think we should look at arranging the projectors in a good symetrical manner for projections zones in the multiple projector shows while also where the projectors will be that can go on the splitter.
