I reckon if the module is bolted down to a nice size base plate, and some heatsink compound is used in all joins that need to conduct heat, you should be fine.

    Just a quick one,

I now have all the screws in stock, so for everyone who has purchased a kit, I will be sending all orders out first thing this week

Had 2 of these arrive and after a quick 'dry' assembly all I can say is.. top quality!
Building it up took no time at all and it felt like an AK47 would be needed to do it any damage, solid!

    Very nice job Dave

I finally finished to build mine (damn, the first one took so much time!!!!), and here's some pictures
The build quality of the parts is awesome Dave, seems very much like a pro modules.

I use the Picodrive driver, which do 6 channels + TEC with sensor, and must admit it is working really well, it's even the best one I tested (that's also the first hobbyist laser-related product I buy in 10 years, which was designed in my little country, a bit of chauvinism sometimes isn't bad )

    Cheers!

    sbk, thanks for the tip,

now I'm concerned about loss of power is greater than beam size

The best is the enemy of the good!
