    Default Heathcliff laser software help

    Hello guys,

Well, after going through lists of freeware laser software, I have found this particular one to be pleasing , powerful, and easy to work with:
    http://linux.softpedia.com/progDownl...oad-48744.html

(I will be working with that until I can find some older versions of Spaghetti, anybody has any ideas?)

Now, trying to draw something in main window caused me to jump a bit, because my music was overlapped by a squeeling tone - I figured it was trying to display the image over the Headphone out port - instead of USB.

Any ideas how to switch the output to digital one, USB in particular?

    I'd appreciate the help!

    What hardware are you using?

I am going to use a DX $17 Soundcard DAC modification to obtain analog signal, and DIY correction amplifier board.

So output to USB would be needed.

for playing wavs and for programs that don't use my EzAudDac.dll driver you have to switch the USB audio card to be windows primary in the windows control panel.

Oh, so switching is done externally, considering the software itself.
But, I wonder how do I play music along side of laser show ...

you hit 'play' on your CD player

kidding aside, it is possible to merge music wavs with laser wavs for this purpose. You should join the laserboy forum if you want to tackle this, though they are the 'experts' on that over there.

But it's not LaserBoy software we are talking about here...

There should not be any laser wavs, because it is supposed to be a digital signal output, to the USB, and there a soundcard converts it to analog for further amplification...

I guess I'll improvise something already. Thanks for the help, the primary device setting was what I needed to know. I am not currently able to try it out , not being home, but I'll give it a shot.

    WAV files are digital.

What he means is that Healthcliff doesn't create WAV files. It sends the output directly to the soundcard where it becomes analog. LaserBoy, on the other hand, creates WAV files and does not have the capability to communicate with a soundcard.
