    Hi dimitri

Hmmm... I see what you mean. Never mind, it was worth trying.

As for flying, you probably have a few choices...

Closest for me would be Leeds/Bradford airport.

Manchester airport is not too far from Rob. Also there is a regular train service from Manchester airport (Via Dewsbury - very close to me) to Leeds, either train option would be o,k, for me.

John Lennon Airport is close to Kevski, Karl and one or two others from the Liverpool(ish) area.

East Midlands airport is probably on Soffy's way, but i'll let him chime in on whether that would be an option.

    Cheers

    Indeedly Doodley.
I could zoom up the M42 and pick up Dimitri on the way onto the M1 and all points North.
    Not an issue.
Of course, he'd have to hitch hike back home.

Brilliant , you couldnt make it up !

For me to fly to liverpool from glasgow , only way is via belfast , becasue of connecting flights is takes almost 5 hours and £95

Driving i reckon i could be £80 in fuel return

ITS ACTUALLY CHEAPER , and certainly more FUN for me to get an easyjet to amsterdam and fly over with dimitri and mccarrot

Im driving anyways but i thought i would check it out for the fun of it !

O.K. folks. Now that the official UKLEM in Surfleet is over it's time to turn our attention to our ShowLEM. I've updated the opening post with details of local accomodation and details of how to find the venue.

    Any questions please PM me.

If your name isn't on the list of attendees please PM me and i'll add you to the list.

Also, just a reminder that there is no need to bring any of your gear to this LEM. if you intend providing a show written using pangolin software you only really need to bring the show on a USB key. If you're using an unusual DAC or the show is written in any other software it may be worth bringing your Laptop (or computer) and DAC.

Cost of attendance at this ShowLEM will be ~£20 per person for both days or £15 for one day (either Sat or Sun).

We're currently putting together a list of equipment we'll require. Pretty much everything is already taken care of, if we need anything specific i'll post it in this thread. However, depending on how many synchronised projectors we want to link together we may be in need of a good quality RGB or two (i's essential that it can hang from a truss). We were thinking along the lines of providing 5 x RGB for Beams and 1 x RGB for graphics. Nice balanced whites and well aligned beams are essential so the shows look as good as they possibly can .

May I also remind everyone that we can't access the venue until 2:00pm on the Saturday, so please don't turn up too early!, I expect we'll be ready to start running shows from around 4:00pm. Help with setting up at 2:00pm will be appreciated, as will help with stripping down and tidying up at 6:00pm on the Sunday .

There's a great supply of takeaways and shops nearby so nobody needs to go hungry

    Cheers

    Hi Jem

As I mentioned at the meet, if they fit the bill, my projectors are at your disposal for the Show LEM. They seemed to be quite a close match to your RGB and they are truss mountable. The white balance between the two is not perfect but still looked good at the meet at the weekend.

I can also be at the venue for 2pm Saturday to help out with setting up.

Sorry need to intercede to bring you this important message ......... Please note the MUGS are all finished , you not be provided one at this SHOWLEM , its safe to attend !

WARNING REGARDING MUGS PROVIDED AT UKLEMS

Just received this message from an attendee, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

    "hi paul
question who done those printed mugs for you ??
who ever it was get a refund
just used mine dam near killed me too.
what ever they used to coat the mug after printing came off in big flakes and i guzzled down my tea and choked on aload
    plastic looking flakes.
just thought you should know and warn others who have one not to use them "

These mugs were printed at a place in blackpool at grand cost of £3.50 each about two years ago on route to a LEM , must admit mine has been in almost daily use for two years with no probs apart from a bit of fading from use in dishwasher , i apologise in advance for any issues arising , but their creation was done with best intentions ,not to kill of any laserist compeition in scotland .........with little intrest in them they have been stored in my garage through a couple of harsh Scottish winters so may have afftcted coating ...

PLEASE CLEAN AND CHECK THOUROUGHLY BEFORE USE
