Default Got the RYG going ... finally

So after many years of wanting to do it but never being able to afford it, we now have RYG DPSS in one of our little projectors....

    350mw of 532nm, just shy of 600mw of 650nm...

    Very impressive, perfect color balance!
Damn, I'm very far for this result with my 200mW green and 170mW 650nm...
How did you find this powerful red laser?

Yes, arctos red purchased as a 450mw, but Thomas had just changed over to a new type of diode that was capable of 25% more power... we see around 580mw - 600mw from this beast. Its alignment is okay - at low powers up close you can tell that the beam is multiple lasers combined, they don't all ramp up evenly but you don't even notice if you're more than a meter away...

So we just got back from our first show with it. Somewhat dissapointing - our lambdapro green 350mw just spat the dummy. This is the 3rd lambdapro we've bought - the first one had to go back under warranty TWICE. the 2nd one we haven't had a problem with, and the third (the 350mw) went back straight away as well as they hadn't even calibrated the analogue modulation properly (5v was putting out 100mw or so).....

So we are going to try laser-century....

The 600mw or so of red correlates roughly to about 150mw of green btw... bit more maybe... sbk goto www.arctos-laser.de ...

with 170mw of red you'd have to run that green at about 35mw - 40mw to get good colour balance...
