If you find a legitimate problem please report it directly to us by email, so we can get it fixed ASAP and before the official 2.0 is relased. Since the release candidate, we've gone through another seven builds, each one getting incrementally better in every way -- even usability.

Our goal is to make software that is as solid and easy to use as possible, but we can't find every possible problem with our own testing. User feedback and trouble reports are important, especially if they are reported as quickly as possible.

    Best regards,

    William Benner

Had the lasers set up since saturday in the house and CANT replicate Grrrr
changed cables about , fb3s , lasers etc ..etc ...... etc

Being Scotland , on the night it was RAINING !! theres a surpise !!! , thats the last thing i can think of , some water ingression somewhere ?

Ran out of ideas other than ghosts !

I was hoping someone else had come across something similiar although I simply cant see how the correct signal can bypass two lasers ..that just seems impossible !!.... me flummoxed !

Building the show using Quickshow was a dawdle , first time i have built a dual track , 2 fb3 show ....... really good fun and with the exception of expecting animations to repeat to the time you allocate it ( you need to tell it how many times to repeat ) all i can say is Quickshow ROCKS ! Im pretty confident this was not a software issue , rather a hardware issue !

Thanks for the feedback , if i ever manage to conclude what it was i shall report back

The confusing part for me is the ones that held the first frame.

In order to do that, the same signal has to be maintained to the projector throughout doesn't it? Otherwise it'll just go back to centre on the scanners and the lasers will switch off with no modulation signal.

Given that the other projector showed the whole show, I don't understand how the 2 heads could have maintained the first frame without some sort of constant input of that frame.

While running at LDI we saw a few problems. Remember, this was a five-year-old computer running many separate FB3, all connected to the PC with no additional powered hub. At one point, the "memory warning" within QS came up and indicated the memory was at 85% capacity, and I watched it grow to 91%. After that I rebooted the PC (not my PC, but LaserNets, and this computer has everything on it including wireless internet the whole show). Once I rebooted, the PC ran fine for the rest of the three day show, and memory capacity never exceeded 50% (most of the time around 38%).

So it could be that you had some kind of computer problem, or that there are other tasks running in the background that nobody knows about...

    Possible resolution

Two of the lasers had galvos with a DMX board , its never caused issues before.

I think something in the signalling was setting off the dmx board ,i guess thats why one of the lasers was doing totally its own thing , although the other one decided a single beam was all it wanted to do.

Never had this issue before , only when i built a two track show with music in the timeline did something seem to set off the DMX boardsinto action ......

    would this make sense?

if laser 2 was connected to the 2nd flashback, how did you manage to get it to project the same thing that laser 1 was projecting ?

I'm guessing this is down to projection zones and the zones that each laser has been assigned to.

If both lasers 1 + 2 were assigned to the same zone, would they not display the same image? I believe from memory you can assign at least 4 lasers to Zone 1.

Similarly if laser 3 was assigned to another zone, would it not then display differently?

I'm no expert on zones but I guessing now this is where the problem lay.
