    Question

Andy, you have to have enough optics lying around to try the split beam, polarization change, PBS recombine trick don't ya? I am curious to see if it works but don't have the cash to spend on the optics and moutns and all it would take to try it.

Nice burn marks on the plastic square...

Are those Lasorbs close enough to the diodes to be effective?

I seem to remember measuring the rear part of the Aixiz housing and found that put them too far away even, prompting me to cut them down.

That said, given how robust we know these diodes to be now, do we really need Lasorbs?

um i could but it seems like a lot of work. the results using prisms are pretty good, i dont think cut and cubing is necessary

the instructions say 1cm but hey ho, i might cut the wires down slightly as they currently stick out to much

no bigggie, i noticed that pic in post 11 shows adjustable mounts on baseplate, pic on post 12 shows the addition of a platform to mount adjustable mounts to.

I was wondering if you could reverse the foot on the adjustable mounts so it would fit on the base plate and not have to use the little added platform.

congratulations on getting blue light...i have yet to get light out of my units Too busy working on mechanical stuff to actually make a laser.
