to be honest i dont plan on the setup getting that hot. ive done some general testing and the setup gets lightly warm only so ive got no plans to move the lasorbs.

    Default m mounts

hi andy just curious as to why you have the mirrors glued to the mounts at 45deg
rather than mirrors glued on the mounts and put the mounts at 45deg,?
looks like you would have then got the mounts closer to the lens, and then no need for the extra 10mm bolted to the side, just wondering

I would say that rotating the mounts 90 degrees would place the back edge of the 1st mount in the path of the right hand beam.
    This space for rent.

    well christopher

having done many builds with the whole mirror mount at 45 degrees including a 24 diode build, mounts i can tell you its easier to do a multi diode build with the mounts straight and the mirror its self at 45 degrees.

it just makes alignment each beam much easier.

this is my view only but i do talk from experience.

the little add on platform is rock solid so its no big deal, incluing the add on platform the module is only 60mm wide, so its still pretty small.

Yes the add on in the mirrors, would help me a lot in my new small RGB design.

    Thanks Andy

I would guess the cheapest way would be to go to your local hobby shop and get some 8mm or 10mm hollow square tube. You can then cut it into 8mm or 10mm cubes and file it diagonally. As many as you're likely to need for under a fiver at a guess.

Sorry, I was talking about the little add ons on ythe front of the mount to make the mirrors 45 degrees - I thought thats what you were asking Andy about.
The reason for using hollw stock is so that they can also be used with dichros if you want to pass a wavelength as well, there's a gap!
