The z-mod, I believe, is a similar process to the "turbo-track" acceleration circuit avaialble with some of the older gs120's.

I cant see any extra leads to support a third channel for blanking, so it looks to be "accelerator" in nature.

    Lets figure this one out.

Are you talking about the one Marconi posted?
The one I posted does have three channels. They are marked X,Y,and I.
If anyone is inerested in these cards let me know.

The Z channel I believe is the unpopulated portion of the board, hehe
I do have my own version of an accelerator circuit.
    Its simple to add ...

It does have the driver for blanking a simple solenoid !!
Also nice is the dual shutter drivers..

The problem I am having with this board is cross-talk
When I only drive one channel , I get some drive on the other.
I removed the galvo's for now and am looking at the signals with a scope.
I can do this with either channel and I see cross-talk over on the other
    channel..!!!

Both Channels do go thru a DG211quad analog switch..
Why , I have no Idea.. This may well be bad..
I do have a few spares around here somewhere but
their buried amungst the mess here.

If I dont get it working again, I just might junk it and look for
    something else...

Astroguy.. PM me .. I'd like to figure out what you have there!!

I remember Eclipse... they bought Laserport, but spectacularly failed as a
    business...

Last known contact for them was... (503)526-9501
Their old address was 10975 S.W. Canyon Rd., Portland, OR 97005

    ASTROGUY!!!

Bumped into you again, I see. Still no luck on getting info about that Eclipse unit, eh? (By the way, you're right - it looks a *LOT* better than the one I was looking at on e-bay!) Seems to be a lot more traffic here though, so maybe you'll get lucky!

For the benefit of the rest of you, Astroguy is on the greenlasers.co.uk forum as well, and while he was looking for info about the unit above, there was an acution on E-bay for another unit that was seriously trashed. I made the mistake of assuming that was the unit he was asking about. ops: </me takes foot and places it firmly in mouth>

Anyway, good to see you here!

Good to see you here as well. Looks like I am going to gut this unit and sell off the parts and build a new one in the case with a dedicated P4 computer built in.
It will have a wireless keyboard and mouse. Wish they made a wireless monitor. I am going to put in my argon and an Alphalite unit and DT-40 scanners. When I can I will add my red laser and have a white light show. It will take some time but I am in no hurry and still have a lot to learn.
