How do I do the blanking (maybe a question to SBK)

it was the unit from spec !
A chinese laser head.

Well when i put toghether the black and yellow wire the laser goes off (blanking)

Anyway, I did try to put the yellow into the Blanking out 5volt !
And the black to GND on my dac !

But when i open the laser house I se that the 3 wires have a text..

it says L, H, G :roll:
And the Black was on L, red H, yellow, G !!

So maybe black was supposed to be on the G (GND?)
And that`s the reason, the 5volt IN did go on the ground.

What is the solution then ?
is there a small chip that is fried ?

I actually did not belive that a small signal like 5volt did harm anything ops:

I dont know why, and i dont know how !
But it works FINE now 8) 8) 8) 8)

After 4-5 hours i finally make my laser shine as hell again
I did put a 3 volt battery into the 2 wires and suddenly there was light (NEVER happend before)

Then after MANY attempts to connect the wires on the blanking out, there was nothing...
Then suddenly I dont know why, but I did follow SBK solution to add resistor.
And I did add 2 resistors in paralell from the wire and NOT to the blanking !!
But into the GREEN LASER output :P

Well.. it works as a charm no... so I dont bother to think what did happend !

I just hope that spec shipp me the new scanners before I chrash my laser again !! :roll:

Well, your blanking is working now!
Strange that the blanking output don't works, only the GREEN output from the dac board... On my Parallel dac on the beginning, there was the green output that don't worked, but the blanking output worked well
