I guess, 8 red laserdiode combined, 4 on one face and 4 on the other face... Awesome !
Those pics are a arctos red.. our arctos red has 5 diodes and puts out close too 600mw. Still far from 1w..

    600mW is OK for me

    what is actros red ?

    I got another question:
What is the idea with alle the Mirror to make the laser go one way and then the other way, and THEN back again the SAME WAY ??

I guess there is a reason, i just dont know why ?
And I notice other place there is a mirror shaped in a 90 degree, the laser just take a turn and go back the very same way .... ? why is that ?

I completely forget the name of the company or where I read this, but about 5 or 6 years ago I remember seeing something about an optic that looked like an 8-sided cone, and a company bouncing a bunch of lasers off it into one beam ... anyone remember this?

they are mostly not mirrors, but dichroic filters. Reflect one range of wavelengths, transmit another. Used in this application to combine red green and blue lasers together to make white.

I think the 8 sided optic used to combine multiple red laser beams was by the manufacturer of the laser diodes " Polaroid " who had 500 mW red laser diodes and needed more power for medical applications like killing cancer cells by activating dyes that target those cells.
