Received one 637nm diode from Francesco. I put it in my Winter project powered a battery powered RGB projector (Pictures to come soon). Very tight beam with the lens I have I get a nice 3/16 round dot 20 feet away. Running now at a conservative 250ma, it replaces 2X 655nm 200mw diodes and appears about three times brighter. The losses in the polarizing cube were more than the 655 was adding to the beam so I eliminated the 2nd diode and the cube. one less alignment point!
    Thanks again Francesco

I do not recall what lens it is or where I bought it.. The lens is glass, has an anti-reflection coating and is mounted in a metal half threaded barrell. If anyone knows where this lens can be purchased, I would like to know, as I can use a couple more.

    Cheers

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Sounds a bit difficult to me ! LOL .........a lens looks like a lens and a metal half barrel looks like a half barrel.

Still you never know till you try!

    Cheers
