    Agreed. I may even hold off on 445 for the moment, and see how these Nichia diodes will pan out. They won't have a cheap launch price, but the 445nm's had a price tag of $500+ before Casio started purchasing them in bulk.

    1W of 460-480nm is going to be stupendously bright, I don't recall having ever seen a 1W 473nm DPSS, only a few 1W 488nm argon tubes.

    Hawk-eyeing this for sure.
