i had somthing simalar nearly happen to me but i was watching it
and pulled the plug, i did not think the drivers liked 12v ?
and certainly when not being asked to do anything i found the output fet
got super hot ,not so bad at 9v but it still likes the modulation connected to a dac or pulled low to keep it happy.
just my findings from past use, no probs with red drivers though, just the blue ones
its been modded by robin to take 12v and using my mill i put a hole in the back of the board and used a little alum disk to directly heat sink the fet.

The op-amp may be blown, they are 12V max.
ATX supplies are not known for their smooth spike free output generally so some more protection may be in order

Your FlexMods should be arriving there shortly, if they haven't already. Sorry to hear about the trouble. The Lasorbs dont' protect against long-duration overcurrent, only fast voltage spikes so I wouldn't fault them immediately, if this is what occurred.

Andy....remove the Lasorb from one of the diodes and tell me what it does....provided they are not in series...

If you have a gig on saturday it's time to get into action.

Do you already have spare 445nm diodes?

Did you already measured the current running trough your diodes?

    things for the future:

    - Run each diode on a separate driver, if one fails you still have one diode working, so the party is still on
    - ditch the ATX PSU, they are not so clean as you think, a computer mobo does some extra filtering on board.
    - get better drivers (already sorted with drlava; good)

Try to run one of those diodes..one driver...no Lasorb...shunt installed onto the diode leads befor soldering up. Then lets see....

I did have a red lasORB malfunction on me once. I'm not sure what caused it but with it hooked up to an LOC DVD diode, the diode would not laze. As soon as I disconnected the LasORB from the diode it worked perfectly. Just a thought...
