you got it wrong gabriel, i actually had to report a case to bill about 4 weeks ago.. someone filled in a request for cracking livepro.
Action was taken though, but just saying ...

And in fact an old version of mamba was cracked and resold by the chinese.

Also the infamous frame stealing is what it wants to prevent.

DRM never works. Software DRM never works. Hardware DRM never works. (It usually embarrasses the company that tries it - look at the Playstation 3, for instance). Yes, protection bullshit can make it harder for people to use software without paying up. No, it cannot do it perfectly. And it always gets in the way - real, paying customers are inevitably inconvenienced by attempts to lock down software. I don't know why people bother.

What i like is the small Fiesta.net OEM.

Its a small board and it runs on 12v dc, perfect to build in a projector.

Te qm.net is a pain in the ass to build in. You have to drill out some holes in the qm.net before you can mount it

If a professional laser projector cost less probably there would be software piracy

This is a creative niche sector. If you got money for the projectors the software is the lower cost.
There's plenty of incentive to crack software when you can pick up an ILDA laser projector for as little as a hundred pounds on ebay. Ok its probably not up to much, but a non professional at the bedroom DJ level, isn't going to care and if someone pays £100 for a projector are they going to pay £5K for the top software package? No. They'll do what numerous people have done in the past with expensive software and that is crack it. Its far harder to crack it when its tied to a proprietary hardware device.

Well I think the Fb3.net is nearer to the Fiesta.net and we haven't seen that yet so again I think its wait and see Maurice as we simply don't know how big it is yet. At the moment we're comparing two differing products, one of which was designed some time ago.

Yet again I would say though, if you have a wish list for QM improvements, contact Pangolin. Although Beyond is still very much under development and more in bug hunting than feature development mode, I'm sure Pangolin would be receptive to your suggestions on both the midi and QM.net fronts.

Actually, LSX works with fiesta.net hardware

Also, Gabriele, nice list. there are many things on that list that LSX can do as well that aren't marked, I guess it stands up pretty well to the best of 'em.

I hate to be that person to bring this up again, but i have made my first pre programmed lasershow using fiesta and would like to show you all.

It was a quick show i put together, nothing brilliant, i was trying to play around with some features in the software.

Once the show is done, i gave a very "dumb" and brief description to my subscribers (who are laser illerate ) so ignore that part.

And one more thing, this is my first "real" show.

    Thanks!
