    Thanks Edison and Francesco. He had some diodes in stock and the exchange rate was really good right now, so I got 2. I'm much happier in this post vs. my previous post .

    Going to replace it today and will update this post with some pics of the internals.....

    Yes, each diode in the module has a LasorbŪ attached from the factory. So much for static protection.....
    Finally had the time and motivation to get the diode replaced and realigned. Looks great again. Thanks Francesco.

    While I had the driver apart, I noticed this. Now, I realize the ground and the neutral are tied together in the breaker box but I can't help thinking this had something to do with the static killing a diode.

    Opinions?

    Also, does anyone know which pots are which in this picture? I figured out a couple of them, but only guessing on the others. And as promised, a pic of the internals of the head.
