Default Anyone else have to log in twice to get on?

I've been having a little trouble logging in. At first, I thought I was just fat-fingering my password. But after several careful tests, I've been able to re-create the problem at will.

When I try to log in from the main forum screen, the first time I type in my name and password, nothing happens. I don't get a "wrong password" message, nor does the system log me in. The screen simply re-loads.

When I type in my name and password the second time, it logs me in like normal.

I can log out of the sytem, flush my cookies and kill the browser, then re-load it and re-create the problem again and again. It happens at the office and at home, though so far I've only tested it using IE 6.

Anyone else have this problem, or is it just me. (And yes, I'm certain that it's not a typo problem... I've done half a dozen trials.)

It's not a big deal, really. But it does seem odd...

    Ill start researching it.

Never had that problem on the home page. I have had that problem on the administration side.

    Hopefully it will be simple...

my best guess is that the cookie's session information was screwed up.

I changed it about 5 minutes ago and everything appears to be working.

If the same problem comes up please post here so i can figure it out.

    Thanks!

Well, not another problem but I had to login again when I came here today. Normaly I dont have to but thistime I did. To the point, my old problem with threads being marked as read (all threads where marked as read when I looked at one) is gone. Now everything works as it should.
You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads!

if there is 2-5 threads that is NOT seen (marked)

Try to dont hit the BACK button after you have readed one (answered one)
then the MARKED threads will dissapear... (well it happend sometimes to me if i do it)

Basically: a new cookie was issued and the other one expired. A hard reset of the user session...

Everything should be good barring another change.
