Very different. The DZ breakout board was simply to make wiring easier. The Stanwax ILDA board is more complex and has several built in features. They are listed on his website http://shop.stanwaxlaser.co.uk/ilda-...board-55-p.asp The instructions to set it up are not online but I will ask Rob if he can get them setup by the end of the groupbuy.

    Default Update

Hi all! Just throwing an update on the progress out there.

I finished the angled parts that connect the top and bottom plate to the extrusion (see pic below). They bolt to the extrusion with m5 socket head cap screws and are tapped m4 for the covers to bolt down. Since I changed to smaller extrusion the fit was very tight So I had to mill clearance in the wall of the angle (for the SHCH), but I did not want to go with thinner angle at the risk of make the case weaker.

I have been gathering up the hardware needed for the cases and have the list almost complete. The main thing I'm changing to is button head screws on all outside panels. The screws and washers will be black and the button heads should make the cases look a bit cleaner.

I am getting all the panels programmed and ready to run on the laser next week and I should have the material for the rest of the baseplates soon. Completion date seems to be somewhere around the end of March.

And everyone please check and respond to my PM's!

I actually posted an up to date set of instructions yesterday!

just for a quick rundown -

The Ilda interface takes an ilda input and splits it off to molex k-k connectors, one for blanking connection & one for x/y connections. It has a 12v feed into a series interlock circuit that comprises the ilda interlock (ILDA 4 & 17), a remote interlock (designed for an e-stop) and a keyswitch that can be wired along with a case interlock or other that you choose. The interlock circuit is monitored by the onboard circuitry and will not allow the boards relay to energise and power up the lasers until the interlocks are good and the start button has been pressed. the start button is optional (ie can be disabled for auto start) and begins a short (8 or 30 second time delay).
As the laser power relay is energised the laser emission LED is turned on. The board also sports a connection to a shutter which will only open when the laser power relay is on AND the ILDA shutter signal is high.
There are connections on the interlock and pcb for a laser statusbi colour LED and on the pcb for power LED.
In essence it takes care of many of the safety requirements of your projector as well as simplifying the wiring or your projector.

if you have any questions please email or pm me.

I have a board and the board is perfect for wiring a projector. Perfect because it has most of the safetyfeatures you need.

Most or all - what does it not have?

clearly that is outside of the scope of a simple interface of this sort - but maybe not that far.......
    Won't say anymore for now

Sorry, I have sold out. I may build some in the future but not sure when yet.

Thanks, but I did not know you had a board to offer. Everyone from the groupbuy has all ready ordered an ILDA board or stated they don't want one, and I have all ready placed my order with Rob.
