TBH Kit this isn't aimed at anyone in particular rather those who come here from google. I don't even have LSO training so you're ahead of me on that!

I'm sure Maurice will jump in here but so far as I know, you can't score a show based on a hot spot - see what I wrote in the post above about cumulative effects and thus the need to score EVERY effect and cumulate EVERY result.

The only way I know of to avoid endless calculations is if you use the simple method.

The problem is the simplified method is just a method Prosed by ILDA (Greg Makhov), and is made with a high estimation of arguments (like 0,25 blink response) and as far as i'm aware it's not accepted by any instance (TUV I know for sure does not accept it), so the only way to proof you show is below MPE is doing the calculations.

I do have all the formula's to do the calculations for each frame, but if I added this to the XLS file most people wouldn't understand how to use it and the purpose of this file (keep it simple) would be lost, and to be honest who will calculate every frame of show? nobody.

As far i's i'm aware for the TUV (german HSG) it's enough to show you have done calculations for some (hot) frames. It's just to show that you are know what you are doing, they also know it's impossible to calculate every frame.

Can you just elaborate on how the 7mm eye aperture is applied? Is the MPE calculated based on a 7mm diameter section of the total diameter at point of hazard?
I was just trying to work out the relevance of the 'Minimum diameter (>7mm)' data item.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

I decided to remove the file for now because I have the feeling people like KITATIT are trying to make money from this idea.

    Sorry guys.

I think you're over-reacting, he is simply trying to cover development costs seeing as he isn't a developer himself. Its not even confirmed there WILL be any development costs yet.

Starting a economic-feasibility-poll without consulting mcsquare first, isn't exactly the most sympathetic thing to do.

I believe Mr McC was included in an email trail about this very subject and did not voice concerns.

If you copy this idea make it free for everyone like I did and don't charge 50 dollar.

Geez! we aren't trying to make money off this, heaven forbid someone make money off something

If you or someone else can make this for free we are all ears.

I should never have tried to help the process.

    I'll start again.

Can anyone make an app for my phone to help me do my pre show setups for free?

    thanks
    Kit
