Is it possible to get thicker waveplates? as a 0,5mm wave plate can break very easy
how is a wave plate set up for use ??
does it need to be the right way around to use ??
does in need rotating so the polarisation is correct for use with a pbs ??
will it need a special mount to acheive the above ??

A mm would be perfect. I can turn the diodes in my setups but for blue it would be nice to build a 8 watt of blue just for fun. I,m thinking about two sets of 445nm.![]()

I'd like to register interest for the following halfwave plates...
3 x 640nm
3 x 532nm
However, I too wonder if you are able to get these made slightly thicker (~1mm) as 0.50mm is pretty thin and easily broken, something slightly more robust would be good.
Perhaps you could find out and let me/us know and then I can make a decision as to whether to confirm/cancel the order.
