Good and fast are not cheap.
Fast and cheap are not good.

    You have a few options:

Buy the cheapest 30k set and come back and ask why they are flickering at a decent projection angle.

Save your funds for a little longer and get a decent scanset.

Settle for somewhere in between the two.

We will not tell you what you want to hear if it is not the truth. Not on this forum, maybe others, but not here.

    Re-read your first couple threads........
Yes... But from 15k to 30k seems already a pretty good improvement?
What shall i buy from? Phenix or spacelas? They have both desame costs

    Go DT30.

The LW50K i think McCarrot also have those and are no way 50K but more 30K.
DT30 is nice set. I think my Raytrack 35plus are also based on the DT30s.
    Never missed a beat.
    I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.

Raytracks use the DT40 galvo's with (very nice) custom driver

Another big manufacturer is Sonima usually sold under different names (scanpro, LW80K etc)

For my next build I'm also going to use DT40 galvo's, they seem to have the best price/quality ratio

    sorry you're right !
I had typed DT30/40 and then was in doubt. OK good to know it's DT40's!
They're very good, for both beamshows and graphics !
Came factory tuned, never had to change that.

i will probaly go for the DT-30 from phenix.

i will have to say their customer service is superb so far.
I asked for a video and speed and scanning angle and those chinese guys just made a whole video showing the PC and software, speed that was set, and 2 ild test patterns on the wall. i even saw one guy in the screen connecting the cables. +1 for you phenix!
    thats quality service
I hope that service remains good when something is/will go wrong in the warrenty period.

Aren't you now mixing up Phoenix Technology and Dragon Tiger ?
The Raytracks are based on DT40's, the Phoenix Technology ones are PT30, 40 etc.
So the ones i like very much (DT's) are the ones you call expensive ;-)

Not saying that Phoenix Technology is bad, can't judge since i haven't owned those, all i am saying is that i am very fond of my 2 sets of Raytrack 35plus.
Other scanners i use are Sonima's (SM2803/4 orsomething like that). Good quality/price, but still like my Raytracks better. But again, those are more expensive.
    I didn't fail !
