What i don't get, there are hundreds of audio tools.
That have very precise mixing, you can drag and drop audio files of various formats and drag them along a time line, everytime you start it it runs exactly the same.
Should QS use the same engine then.

Understand me correctly, i know some features will never be built in QS since then the gap with Beyond is too small then. Understandable. But if there is a time line it would be cool if stuff reproduces on the right time. I bought QS with the idea of making shows on the timeline. I never got to it, because i ran into bugs. Those were very quickly fixed.
A lot of bugs have been taking out. I will give it another go, but reading this i already feel scared. On the other hand, if i never do it, bugs can never be fixed.

But timeline shows is not the strongest point. Live shows however, that's cool.... but that's not MY strongest point haaha
    I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.

just glad i didn't sell my easylase with spaghetti yet, I hate to swap cables during a show, maybe second projector hahaha, one for live performance with quickshow and the other for shows with spaghetti.

    LOL

you are right, there is lots of stuff out there that has no problem with windows 7 and audio playback so i hope that in the near future pangolin is able to solve this issue.
For me it is a big drawback since this is one of the features that convinced me, from a hoby perspective, to invest in quickshow.

Take a look at my video above, I'm not sure I've been affected as mine appears to line up every time so far as I can tell, so it may be audio component dependant. BTW its in HD so can be expanded full screen for a better view.

I'm using a Creative Audigy XF-i Soundcard rather than onboard sound so maybe thats the difference. However, I have to admit the soundcard isn't without its own set of problems in Windows 7, although so far as I can tell, QS seems consistent with it.

I'm sure if its a known bug Pangolin will be looking into it.

had to review it several times but it seems like you got the same issue.
replaying plays the beat sequence differently each time.
just take a simple piece of music, for instance something you record with the microphone, and sing 1 2 3 etc.. then try to align a cue to the start of your voice, you will see.

I think I'm understanding what you are saying now. What you need to do is look quite closely at the time line as the music plays and try and identify the peak that corresponds to the beat you want to synchronise with. Once identified, you can zoom in and place, and adjust. Zoom is your friend here both for identification and placement.

I agree having a tap marker facility would help, but how much I'm not sure, as it will place the marker where you've tapped only so if you're slightly out or if there's any delay, you'll miss the beat point again.

The best solution I think would be for automatic beat marking where the programme, using the Live VJ engine, identifies and marks the beats automatically in the time line so that the marks are precise.

I also think it would be easier if the music track played when you moved the cursor manually as it does in some DJ programmes as this makes it easier to move it manually backwards and forwards over a peak and identify the beat segment much easier.

I've suggested these to Bill, although I suspect it would be more likely to make Beyond than QS if liked.

Thanks Michel, that really helped. Yes it is happening on my system.

It seems to be related to starting the cursor in a different position, when you do that it changes the location the beats occur at.

eg. I set my cue to a spoken 3 beat and by the end of a few plays it was on a 1 beat.

I've uploaded a video here using your audio voice over Michel so the problem can clearly be seen:
