Default (Provisional) Group Buy: Laser Diodes A150V

    Hi,
This is a *provisional* group buy for the laser diodes from a A150V projector.
Why? We are working on the assumption that the diodes from these projectors are of longer wavelength (~460nm).
This needs to be independently confirmed by getting some diodes analysed with a spectrometer.

The A150V projectors are quite expensive in the UK; very close to £1,200.
Therefore the diode price is expected to be around £50 excluding fees and postage.

Should the diodes are found to be the same or very similar to A130/A140 then this GB will not proceed.

Therefore can everyone who is interested, post below.
I've taken the few from the other thread and condensed them into the following list:

    Dan: 4
    AndyCon: 2
    Stoney3K: 1
    Doc: 6
    LaNeK779: 2-3
    Dnar: 2
    Haymaker: 2-3
    Smog: A couple
    Dar303: Interest
    CDBEAM: 5
    Mophead: 1 / 2
    CarlB: 2
    SolarFire: 4
    Ragdoll: 1
    PolishedBall: 2
    JY69: 2
    Neutrino: 4
    Taggalucci: 2
    Banthai: 2
    JohnYayas: 1
    RedlumX: 1

    Total: 46+

    Cheers!

Make the call; the cheaper the better. Source irrelevant.
The £1180 price I arrived at was the only UK store that was in stock Inc VAT.

If they check out to be 460's, put me down for a definite one, maybe 2.

I'm up for two if they are in the 460nm range. With a bit more luck the beam spec may be a bit better as well.

If they were made by Carlsberg, they would probably guarantee the wavelength and high beam specs.
