I won't be making it for the dinner Friday night, but I will be there Saturday. See you then.
Chris
That's cool, Chris. David and I will be there early, so pop on over whenever you can. We'll look for you Saturday morning.
Adam
Sweet. I've been waiting for another FLEM for a long time now. See you all in a few days.
Chris
A friend of mine and I will be coming up on Saturday morning, looking forward to meeting y'all. We're both rookies to Pangolin and we're writing down all our questions & will be pestering you all day. Adam- I have your cell phone # so when we get lost I can give you a call.
Do we need to bring our own food & drink, or will it be available either as concessions there or something close by?
I can bring 1 or 2 of my new X-Laser 2W RGB.
Hi Bob;
Looking forward to meeting you and your friend. And BTW, that's damn smart of you to write down your questions in advance! Sometimes people get caught up in all the excitement and forget stuff. So yeah, come prepared to ask plenty of questions. I promise you that you'll get answers.
I'm hoping to have some time to get LivePro running on a couple different projectors so we can play around with the touch screen and the Novation Remote Zero midi controller a bit. There's a lot of cool things you can do with that combination...
But yeah, anything you want to learn about - be sure to ask!
Don't hesitate to give me a ring if you can't find the venue. It's very easy to miss! Regarding food and drink - we normally just chip in and order pizza at some point during the day, and we may even decide to go out for real food, depending on the mood. (The venue is right in town, so there are plenty of places to go eat, either for a sit-down meal or for fast-food carry-out.)
We also take up a collection for some sodas and beer, and then send someone down to the grocery store. But if you'd rather bring your own, that's cool too. Alcohol is allowed, so long as we can keep things under control. (Though admittedly, one year Aaron ended up throwing up in the canal out back despite our best efforts at control...) I'll probably bring some pre-mixed Godfather Martini's, and if we ask *really* nice, maybe Chris will bring some of his home-made spiced rum to share with us.
(PLEASE? PRETTY PLEASE?)
If it's not too much trouble, please bring both of your projectors, and of course your Pangolin controller (and computer) as well. We'll be able to link all of that up with the rest of the gear. (In such a small room, it's *very* impressive to see so many projectors running all at the same time.) Besides, I don't think anyone else has ever seen a projector from X-laser, apart from you and I. (I toured their facilities last May.) So yeah, I'm sure everyone would like to get a good look at them.
Be sure to bring a power strip or two, and make sure you remember to bring all the cables you need. We'll have plenty of tables and chairs at the venue, so there's no need to bring any of those. If you've got a long-ish network cable (15-20 ft), that would be helpful to bring along. I also suggest you bring either a thumb drive or an external hard drive.
I'll probably be at the venue well before 10 AM. Maybe as early as 9 AM even. And we'll be running at least until Midnight. (probably later...) But if you get tired and decide to leave early, that's fine too. (Note that there is a Holiday Inn Express right across the bridge if you don't want to drive all the way back home the same day...)
See you Saturday!
Adam
Whoo Hoo!

WHAT?!?!?!?!?! How the hell did I miss that!one year Aaron ended up throwing up in the canal out back despite our best efforts at control...
I was thinking about draggin down my scope if anyone is interested. Saturn is near opposition so it should look pretty good. And, Saturday night is suppose to be clear.
