Anyone remember this track? One that you just can't turn up loud enough!
So nostalgic!

If you're the smartest person in the room, then you're in the wrong room.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
Found a disc from the boston symphony of "Carmina Burana"
I found it at a thrift store of all places
and to james, thank you agan for the post of the line drivers you built

not my midas venice 160.
I cooked one of the main output channels last week.
Started off with lots of distortion. Then the level slowly faded away.
Nah well. I sent it to a guy up in Auckland yesterday. He has a masters in science and is familiar with the gear.
Fingers crossed.
thats good luck then, it's hard finding audio techs these days, so the way i look at it i am Dragon and an Audio service tech so i am an even rarer mythical creature ! More so then honest politicians![]()

You should come and hear them some time!
It took me quite a while to get them all together. They were just an idea for many years. Then I found that nice little TV speaker and bought like 1000 of them in one shipment.
I made those big panels with nothing but the full-range TV speakers. They sounded pretty good all by themselves, but they obviously lacked the extreme low and high ends.
Then I built the woofers. That was always part of the plan.
And then I got a flyer from Parts-Express. They had boxes of 200 tweeters for super cheap. So I bought a whole mess of them too.
It was a bit tricky to add the line of tweeters, but I figured it out.
It was nice to not have to fiddle with any passive crossover parts.
I just use the Behringer 3 way active crossover at about 120Hz. and 3.5KHz at 24 dB/oct.
I would like to sell this set and build another one!

Hi James;
Somehow I missed your reply when you first posted it. That is really cool though! I'm still digging The Black Keys, and I'm working on a laser show (beam show) to Gold on the Ceiling. Hoping to have it ready for SELEM.
So how did you manage to meet the drummer?
Adam
The drummer started a Beatles tribute band back in the early 80s called Revolver. He was Ringo. He was also a graphics designer for the local PBS TV station headquartered at The University of Akron.
I've known him since about 1983.
Around about 2006 or so, he was thinking about getting a new Pug puppy and we had some. We used to breed them.
He came over to have a look and brought his friend Dan.
I had no idea who he was. We were all talking about music and recording and I asked him if he was a musician.
DUH!
James.
