    Wink You lucky dog!

HAHA! That's awesome! Have you had a chance to speak to him since then? Because I read somewhere recently that the drummer (Pat Carney, right?) hurt his shoulder pretty badly and they had to cancel some gigs.

So I take it that his friend "Dan" was none other than Dan Auerback... Damn, that's cool as hell.

Can you imagine if these guys showed up at SELEM? (No, not to play... We could never afford their rider!) But just for them to hang out for a day or two (especially since only a few of us would recognize them)... Damn, that would be something special!

    OK - I can dream, can't I?

Very cool that you got to meet them though. Did they end up getting a pug puppy from you?

I only met Dan and his then wife at my house. She was pregnant at the time.

No, Bob did not get a pug from us.

There was a fund raiser for Obama in 2008 at the Civic Theater here in Akron and I got to meet DEVO, Chrissie Hynde and The Black Keys.

As soon as I saw Dan, he said Hey! At least at that moment, he recognized me.

He still comes to Akron and does stuff to help out the community.

    He lives in Nashville now.

Pretty cool that you got to meet him. (And Chrissie Hynde and Devo too! Awesome!)

Maybe I should move to Ohio... (Nah - too much snow.)

Well, he did return to Ohio, and he's originally from Akron, so you've got a better than average chance!

LOVE Shazam. I don't know how I missed this tune for 13 years but, standing in a department store Christmas shopping last night and this caught my attention through the overhead music system. Raced under the nearest speaker to let my phone "hear" it and voila.... It's entirely too catchy and can't get it out of my head. Played it cranked through the house sound system at work a few times this morning as well as the car a few times. I feel an abstract show coming on.....
