Looking for 2. (The 1W, not the 500mW) Preferably from an A-140/150. Thx!

If he still has them available:
2x A130's... http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...856#post185856
- There is no such word as "can't" -
- 60% of the time it works every time -
I've got too many (A-140) on hand. I'm going to have to run a sale
$50 each with first class shipping. If you want/need priority or express, it will cost more. I'm in So. California - US (91744)
Peace,

PM sent..
Thx you-all.
PM sent if you still have any spare.
Does anybody know where to find the O-like glass ashperic lenses (405-G-1 or G-2) that are the popular choice to use for collimating the beam from these 445 diodes?
Thx
The O-Like (and AixiZ) are NOT the same as the G-1 or G-2 lenses. The G lenses give more output, but leave the beam more elongated. O-Like and Aixiz are available from several sources (including O-Like and AixiZ)
The O-Like and AixiZ run <$10. I have a few of these on hand @ $10.
The G lenses are more like $50. Pop me a PM if you are interested in the G lenses. I do not carry them, but the source that I know of is not active in this forum.
AixiZ at 30 feet
405-G-1 lens at 30 feet

Thanks for the info, Dave. How much loss are we talking here? (The difference between the two)
Here is a representative comparison (Thanks Jayrob)
* 445nm diode
* 640mA's
* passive cooling heat sink
* 405-G-1 glass lens - 608mA's
* AixiZ 405 glass lens - 530mW's
Be warned about the O-Like/AixiZ lenses. There are at least two different "models" floating around. One gives a more "brownish" reflection from the AR coating than the other. These "more brown" ones have about a 4% higher loss than the more "yellowish" ones. Your loss may be a bit more than this example if you get one of the more brownish ones. It is very difficult to discern this color difference, visually, unless you have them side-by-side
Also, we have sometimes received lenses that were supposedly "broad spectrum" AR coated that actually showed a blue tinted reflection from the AR coating! I did not make the effort to quantify the additional loss with these. Once I saw that they were giving less output, I simply had them replaced. Of course that was after overcoming their argument that their "engineers" assured them that they were coated for 445nm
Another "interesting" tidbit I had to deal with for one of them. [ First know that the O-Like/AixiZ lenses are a triple-element lens as opposed to the single (aspheric) lens design of the G type lens.] The "interesting" thing about one of the lenses I've had was that the middle lens was reflecting blueish while the two outside lenses were reflecting brownish
