i have some really "fond" memories of ligtnings on a mountain top fying electronic stuff... not fun at all. it is just funny, when "you" get a direct hit everything happens in reverse order. instead of the crackling sound ad then the "boom", first you get the "boom"and then the crackling as the sound travels away... and no need to mention that light and sound arrive simultaneously.
