I've decided to bag the T-Shirt idea. We have enough flashlights ordered to cover currently paid members, so all should be good. It would be a waste to order 4-5 T-Shirts with setup costs etc.

Big thanks to Craig (csshih) for hooking up these flashlights for cheap and with the quickness. They're going to be pretty cool!

I come to you all with heavy heart that I will not be able to attend. My daughters graduation is saturday at 2:00 and a party for her on friday night. I will be able to engrave the flashlights provided they get to me fairly quickly and i can mail them back out ASAP.. so thats it for now.

Pesky family getting in the way of lasers!

The flashlights should be on their way to you now. Thanks for offering to do that for us!

We'll have to do a few microLEMs in Bend soon.

You could always have her party at the LEM; there is always room for freshly legal girls at a LEM... right?

Am I too late to get in on the action? I would absolutely love to attend! I live in Aloha and have dreamed of attending an event like this

There's still enough room at the venue. Feel free join us! Payment details are in Post 1 of this thread.

Oh look, this is in 5 days.

Everything's shaping up pretty well. Setup will be at Noon on Friday. There's a carpet warehouse in the same building that will have some delivery trucks making their way through the west side of the space until 5pm, but that shouldn't interfere with us as we'll be setting up on the east side.

Friday will be mostly setup and tinkering with demos and tutorials taking place on Saturday. Sunday will be more free time to hang out and maybe do some shows and gradually break everything down to be out in the evening.

One item I'd like to get squared away is ensuring Spec makes it up from LA. He's very close to making it, but could use some help as he is a little swamped by bills, including the cost of running this site. Someone has already pledged $50 to help in the effort. Anybody else want to contribute to the cause? Feel free to PM me.

Any questions as we move closer? I will be posting up a general itinerary for the event this evening.

Default laser source for lumia projection at nwlem

it's looking increasingly unlikely that i'll be able to ship my lumia projector out in time for nwlem.

here's some info on it: http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...804#post173804

however, with a little bit of effort, i can pop the lumia "eggbeater" engine out of it and bring it with me. would someone be able to provide a rgb source to project through it?
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

If flights don't work out maybe Daguin could ride with Spec rather than in his pick-up truck? With that and picking up csshih the costs should be a little lower for fuel in the V8 beast. From the crash-site in Van Nuys 101 is a nice drive up to San Jose (I just did this on Saturday). </sugeek crazy plan>

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.
