Connecting pin25 (ground) to the signals like that will only work well if you have only ONE earth/grounding point in the entire setup, otherwise you will end up getting noise into your signals !

Ok, your box does do what I am trying to achieve. As a matter of fact your wiring diagram is exactly the same as what I am wiring mine - except you are using pin25. I am going to try a virtual 0v instead of ground first. If that don't work, plan W is going to be pin 25. Thanks for everyones time sorting my wiring out for me!
