    Default Same problem here....

I have the same problem here with my scanslp 30k... doesn't make a difference if I use the nternal board or via ILDA.. sometimes it runs fine for hours.. then there is distortion in both axis. It comes and goes.

Also my green laser runs dimmer at times...

I checked with a multimeter and there's continuity between all grounds, also pin 25.

The green is a DHOM unit.. the driver is mounted on its side, glued to the baseplate, but not touching it electrically.

    any clues or recomendations?

    Ok!

I already make all these tests.
    -Both reds isolated.
-Grounds, all possibly connections Star and single.(and without signal ground).and no AC ground.
-PSUs with extra output capacitor and Isolated.
    AND NADA

BTW my ILDA cable is 18 meters long. (I put together six).and work fine with scanpros.
and my galvos came adjusted with more gain (amplitude) than my scanpros.
Last suspects that I think, galvos PSU or galvos amps.
I'm gone check with shorter ILDA cable now.

    Thanks all, and cheers,
    Ed

Are you 100% convinced the problem is linked to blanking ?
What if you try some other test patterns ?
    Post some pictures !
These wavy lines could point to high freq oscillations.
What if you turn down the gain on the scanamps by a 1/8 turn ?

What do you mean by no AC ground ?
ALWAYS use AC ground, better of with distorted graphics than with a blown setup.
As member Zoof blew his entire setup having no proper AC ground.

In laymans terms, the AC ground, when connected correctly, is the bit that stops you from getting killed

    Hi all

I just lift AC ground for test purpose.
With different test patterns looks fine. I just found another frame that have the same problem.
But the weird thing is when I hit the Eliminate blanking jumps button, In Pangolin LD2000. This solves the problem

    Thanks and cheers,
    Ed

    Hi Laserdj

Greens are Temp. sensitive and in very cool places get dimmer.
Check cable shields (ILDAS) or heavy load cables near these.

That would rather push problem towards speed issues ... no blanking "waits" - faster cornering ...
