Couldn't it be a bigger model can diode ?
I mean we all use the 5,6mm but i thought there was also a 9mm can model ?
Maybe it's a open can in a 9 or something mm can ?
I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.
This is the closest I can find: http://www.laserdiode.cc/detay/sony_...t/sld1332v.pdf
This space for rent.
100um emittor and 670nm
670 is not really visible very well. It's worse than 660, which is worse than 642
I mean a 642nm is often quoted to be twice as visible as 660nm, i mean 670nm ?
Yeah nice to have a Watt, but visible would be cool too.
But higher powers will be there hopefully.
Kind regards,
Dimitri

Even that would be amazing. I've googled for about an hour now and the highest cw power on 658nm diode (5.6 or 9mm) I could find in a pointer was @ 500-550mW from Laserglow and costs 1498$.
So if it doesn’t reasonably meet up to the claims, it will just be another PP issue.
cheers
