Smile Recommend me a laser for start

    hi to everyone from argentina

i'm completly new on this, i've been reading about lasers for some months, and i've decided finally to start with this hobbie and bussiness hehehe

i've like 4500 usd for invest on it.

about the laser: i want a RGB laser with ilda, with a good scanning speed, i've seen between 10-50kpps.

i've found this one, i dont know if is the best for i'm looking.

    http://www.aliexpress.com/product-gs...olesalers.html

its 1W, and a scanner of max 50kpps, in a very good price i think.

i dont know how much good is the scanner, i've seen that people bought the scanners separate, and build them with the laser, i dont have idea about electronic things so i dont know how to do that =/. hope that chinese scanner works fine.

    about the software:
pangolin software (i've been reading about softwares and its the more recommended, its easy and they are lot of shows until i learn about making my own hehe)

i've find out the quick show basic (the cheaper one) at 595 usd on ebay.

about the ilda cable, i dont know if it comes with pangolin, or i should bought it apart.

and about those transparent screens for project the animation shows, i dont know where to bought them?, they're maded with a wire mesh or something like it.

so i've in total like 2800 usd + taxes that i must pay here for import that things its like 4200 usd.

thanks for reading and hope learn fast for start helping here with my future shows

    best regards

Hi Vicio and welcome to PL.

With regards to a projector, if you are not yet up to building one or your wanting to get off the ground quickly, the only decent projector I can think of that would fit the bill for you is this one from Kvant. http://www.synchrovision.co.uk/special-offers
They have just hit the market over here. This is possibly hitting the top end of your budget, may be a bit more but Kvant are a High end manufacture.

Another option is to get in contact with one of a number of PL members who build to order. Marc of CT lasers in the US may be your man to speak to about this.

Pangolins Quick Show is I think your best starting point for Software and DAC and I think you won't need to think about upgrading from that for a long time. You would have to buy an ILDA lead separately.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards

    Carl
