I LIKE the way you think, Mr Brad!!...OK, ok, I'll leave 'im alone...

...Actually, you can turn-on the HEx (...once 'primed' / head-cavitated, w/ DI or distilled-water...) 'fool' the interlock in service-mode, and run the laser w/O external-cooling for a good-while... till the HEx overtemps and shuts-down, to cool-off, of-course...But it is actually remarkably efficient... there *is* a min-flow setting, for 'normal' operation, but you can get-away with far-less water / pressure, than you can with, say, a 171 - those puppies MUST have the 6gpm @ 80psi, or it's a no-go on the Start intlk....
...Still, in-all, yep - it's a beast... But a beast that *delivers*...
...iirc, this like ~15A or something rediculously-low, *might* have-been ~2W, almost no Kr in the output, yet... Actually, I never could get a decent a pic of the front-end / beam, at 16W...it was nothing but a huge white glo-ball - like tryin to take a picture of a nuke-flash!
...The think that always blows my mind about ions...(especially when seeing something like:...) is the OC are typically min. 99% R....
..WHAT IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS HOLY MUST THE BEAM BE LIKE *INSIDE* THE TUBE???!!!! (..*if* we could see it, that-is...) Wow. Talk about the Sun...
...Oh....Uh, Sorry, David, this *was* the Logo thread....
