We might have a guy (Kevin Harris, AKA Laserock) coming up from Macon, GA. But I don't think we have anyone coming from Atlanta. (TRWalters is located near Atlanta, but he couldn't make it.)

I had planned on riding alone and staying alone also.. Just surprised no one else from Atlanta is coming. If anyone from Atlanta needs a ride then I will probably have some seat space.
I updated the map a few times. Some markers didn't have a destination so I updated that as well. You can see what route to take if you don't already have it planned. Heh this is the kind of stuff I do when I stay up at night
EDIT: Hakzaw seems you can pick up two guys in Georga. DRM916 and Kevin Harris, AKA Laserock.
Or DRM916 see if you can pick up Laserock

Thanks to Polishedball for the introduction to lasers and SELEM! I'm building my first RGB laser with his guidance and look forward to meeting everyone this year for my first visit to SELEM!

Last year on 8/17 we had 40 people registered for SELEM (excludes guests and special guests). This year, it's 8 days before 8/17 and we have 38 people registered (again, excludes guests and special guests). What the chances that we can get more than 2 people to sign up in 8 days?!
It's going to be another crazy year!![]()
I will arrive at 15:20 ( 03:20PM)
at charlotte international airport.
On the 18th
Is someone able to pick me up?
I need to be able for sure.
does anyone have an XLR snake?
also a folding table?
I would like to setup the mixer off the stage since it seems like the stage is going to be crowded
YEP!!!
Which why I keep dropping the hint to have a single "show control station" power & LAN drop off-stage, as well.
I think we've gotten big enough that we need to think about treating the SELEM auditorium like we were putting on a show for customers (we certainly have the gear!!) -
Move the audio, lighting, and laser control to a central location, center of mass at the back of the audience, just like the "big boys" do -
And reclaim the stage for use primarily as, well, a stage!![]()

Metrologic HeNe 3.3mw Modulated laser, 2 Radio Shack motors, and a broken mirror.

Sweet.....
ya well, I need an XLR snake to make that happen, unless someone can let me borrow like $200 (I'm short about 170 something dollars in the bank - they are MEGA expensive!!)
