21 October 2011: The LAST date on the Camping Calendar...

OK folks, less than 10 days to go... Seriously, I mean it this time! Alright, so 21 May didn't quite live up to the fullest of expectations and now all
physical end-time events have been postponed until 21 Oct (oops!). For years now, Mr. Camping has proclaimed 21 May 2011 as the START of a 5 month period
known as Judgment Day ending with the destruction of the present Heavens and Earth on 21 October, but now we say it was the start of 'spriritual Judgment
Day', with no physical manifestation as we now (post 21 May) know.

It's wonderful to hear Mr. Camping say that the rest of us will likley be quietly annihilated on that last day, instead of suffering lasting torment (what

I wish Mr. Camping would have been more specific with the timing of this very busy last day- will we die off over the course of a day from time zone to time
zone, or will it all come down in an instant? All I can say is this- it probably looks like from 10:00AM 20 Oct to 11:00AM 22 Oct 2011 (GMT), it will be Sometime,
21 Oct Somewhere, on this earth (yes, that's a duration of 49hrs, and I'm not sure I got that right). I wish I could be more specific. The fact that at any given
moment it can be one of two consecutive calendar dates at the same time in different places makes the whole thing a real sordid mess.

Fall season premiere just to find out how captain Camping and company will pull the Starship Family Radio out of its latest encounter with imminent disaster

On further research, I have found that I missed a time zone and cut the '21 Oct somewhere on earth' window an hour short...

It turns out that there is a time zone known as Y or Yankee (UTC/GMT-12), and it can easily be neglected, because it covers
an area which is uninhabited, but there are at least two remote islands in this zone including Howland and Baker islands near
the equator. This means that it actually takes 50hrs for a calendar day to pass by across the globe instead of 49, as I proposed
earlier. The worldwide window for 21 Oct 2011 now stands from 10:00AM 20 Oct to 12:00PM 22 Oct 2011 (GMT). The bottom line is we
MIGHT get an extra hour...

More fallout:

I mentioned before that at any moment there are two consecutive calendar dates going on at the same time across the earth, and
most of the time that is true, but there is a window of a couple hours in a day where there are three calendar dates occuring
on earth at the same time! An example: say it's 10:30AM Christmas day GMT. In Pago Pago (American Samoa), it would be 11:30PM
Christmas eve, and in Kiritimati (Christmas Island) it would be 12:30AM 26 Dec! Niether of these places uses DST thankfully.
Also, at any time, in Honolulu and Kiritimati it is the same hour of the day, but it is one calender date later in the latter.
What a mess.

So, it probably looks like it's all going to end SOMETIME on the 21st. Meanwhile, Mr. Camping's Family Radio is offering limited
time special promotions on select free materials through 26 Oct. Hmmm.
