Back on the LPF thread about the A vs. M vs. H series diodes there was no discussion of the 9mm can diodes, but there was earlier discussion about technicians from LG who claimed to be using the "4 W diodes". Could these 9mm can models have been the diodes they were talking about and the 4W was misreported? Did you choose the particular high end projector that you harvested after looking at several potentials?

Not sure about those diodes. There are several laser driven models that were announced to be coming out this year. The one I just tore apart was one and there are two more coming that I know of. I have plans to grab them as well as soon as they are available.

I have not pushed the one I have mounted but the ones I sent out to testers should be landing today or tomorrow so we shall see.

I got mine today. busy working on other things but i will try to see what i cant test.
If it does not die from my tests this is going into my laser projector.
As i would hope running at only 1.25A should give a 9mm diode a long life.

Let me know what you think on the lens that is coupled with the diode. I got pretty good feedback from another member on them but I am still waiting for him to post up the info.

That is great info. These really seem to be the diode to have.

Could you measure the beam at about 10cm or so just out side of the stock lens at about a 1.4w or so?
And has anyone put a spectrometer on one of these yet?

Hey DTR, as you probably know the P73 500mw mitsi reds are out there again.. you getting any?

Little update. Looks like I will have the P73's in stock tomorrow or Tuesday for those that have been waiting. For those that have orders in they should ship the same day I get them and expect them delivered to you by weeks end if not sooner.

Also not sure how many here like to play with high power LED's but I have quite a few of the Red PT-54 LED's stacking up and I am clearing them out for 6 units for $75. They come mounted on a heatsink with a TEC cooler and optics.
