I think that, with the right code, this 3d stuff is possible to reproduce with laser
It's a After Effects script.
***MIDI ISSUES***
Hi DrLava.
I have a lot of problems with midi and LSX-Pro
I use my midi keyboard Novation 61SL MKII.
I can use LSX only with midi yoke installed, except for the keyboard, the midi keyboard doesn't transmit midi messages to LSX with and without midi yoke....but my Ableton Live works perfectly with this midi keyboard.
If I assign in Automap a midi note number to a button, LSX receive the midi message. Automap must be assigned to output midi yoke 1.
If I uninstall midi yoke LSX don't receive any midi message.
The first time I used LSX I had midi yoke installed on my laptop. The default channel that the Lissajou event listened was 1.
Uninstalling midi yoke and re-installing it again the Lissajou midi event was listened on midi channel 5...very strange...is it a random assignment?
Please, could you explain how LSX works with midi?
Thanks.
Hi DrLava!
the test never ends...
Finally I understood why my midi keyboard didn't work.
If you have previously set the midi channel to "midi yoke 5" (for example), you can't switch on the fly the midi input inside LSX.
I set the midi input to "SLMK2" then I closed LSX and restarted again. I found in the midi mapping keys the input "SLMK2".
Probably LSX saves settings only when the application is closed.
Now my keyboard is listened by LSX but on the fly you can't change midi inputs neither you stop the show and restart it again, you have to restart the application.
Regards.
The way to do it right now IN LSX is to load a bitmap into the background of the quick picedit for manual. You can do automatic tracing in inkscape, however, and load the .svg into ILD SOS which comes with LSX. This is the preferred way of drawing high quality 2d graphic frames. I posted a simple tutorial in the ILD SOS thread about this.
Absolutely, that would be possible in here with some time making the effects
Yes, currently you have to restart LSX when changing MIDI controller input devices. Once one is selected, however, it will be automatically selected on every start, as long as it's connected to the system. This will get looked at for a future update.
Hi DrLava,
today I received my Fiesta.Net dac interface.
With Fiesta.Net software works (obviously) but LSX-Pro doesn't see the dac interface. The Fiesta.net dac is network connected to my lan.
There are special configuration settings in LSX to work with Fiesta.net dac?
Regards.
Hi,
Michal told me that you should use the Fiesta.net searcher (installed with fiesta.net), which saves a file enumerating the devices on the network. Then, the devices will be detected using their .dll that is included with LSX. Please give that a try and let me know if it still can't find them.
