Gabrielefx, Iauto internal remapping MIDI is coming, but in the mean time, 'm pretty sure that there's a free program out there that remaps MIDI for you, for situations like this.

nuphotonix, I've done some work today with the MIDI interface to make it only pop up one control panel at a time. It needs more, but look for an update in a few days. For now, you can load the sfx file to correspond to the MIDI key, and when you save the show this is saved, and recalled when you load the show. When you hit 'play' on the show, You'll then see your sfx to midi key mappings come to life in the output. That's one way to do it, but have a look at the live shows. They use the touch screen interface (masterBem) which gives you much more control over the output with numerous live manipulatinos via sliders, and at the same time you can still use DMX or MIDI keys to control the output. Those can be set up so that each button corresponds to a segment of time on the timeline, and you can use all of the familiar timeline effects for control.

    Hi Andrew,

    any news about LSX development?

I noticed that Phoenix Pro 4.0 has evolved a lot and Pangolin is releasing two new upgrades for Quickshow and Beyond

Please don't stay behind, your product needs improvements since the first time I've purchased it.

I don't want abandon LSX for Quickshow.

    Regards.

Gee Wiz we all know by now he just moved across the country!

He was however just last night working on it. IMO though if it doesn't do what you need buy something else. The comparison to others releases is just childish.

in USA the comparison of products it's the base of marketing...

    all magazines do comparisons...

I would like to see in LSX all features of Beyond, Phoenix, Fiesta, Digisynth, etc...

every software evolves and get inspiration from other products or bring new ideas...

Look at Sunlite2, every month the programmers do a lot of improvements... I ask for APC40 implementation...and they do the patch!

gabrielefx, yes I've been working on it and there will be a nice update soon.

For comparison, since you brought it up:
    Phoenix pro: $1000+
    Beyond with features: $1000+
Sunlite SUITE 2 (full version): $1000+

I don't want to make LSX cost that much, because it locks out a lot of creative people from being able to use it. As such, I am the 'team of programmers' and work on it when time allows. That said, it is capability/value is extremely high and a user with LSX in their toolbox has the tools to create shows that rival the best. If you look beyond the hype, you'll even see quite a few areas where LSX is pushing the tech forward, and others are tryig to catch up.

i bought LSX a while back.. haven't had much time to play with it. it's much more complicated than button mashing quickshow, but i'm starting to learn. every time i drop an hour or two with it my eyes get a little wider and my grin gets a little bigger.

here's a video of a quick and dirty experiment i did using the modulate to waveform expressions.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Have you deleted the .lic file in your installation folder? Check if it is there and if your dongle is inserted correctly and all should work... The license files aren't hardware dependent so even if you changed something in your hardware configuration it should still work. If you can't find the license file, search in the ILD SOS folder, or try to find the original mail/PM back.

Laser Warning LSX Update 20111125 uploaded

Boaz, please send me an email. reinstalling LSX does not change the license code, and neither does re-installing the OS on the same computer; it's possible you're using an older act file, we can straighten it out over email.
