Yay! I celebrate by sharing my latest derp efforts in LSX.
    Inspired by the game Portal.

An ILDA file is included for the unlucky ones without LSX but it doesn't appear to be converted very well. I get random line jumps and quirks, while the output from the actual show file is perfect. At least now the colours get preserved...

    Hi Michael,
You can get the keyboard to control the position on the timeline by pressing keys while there is no playback. This will bring up the key editor dialog where you can set up how playback is to change when the key is pressed. You can also do it as coloured described, and here you can in fact change what section on the timeline each key invokes after they are auto-set up. just click the key in MasterBeam with 'edit keys' checked and this opens the key edit dialog where you can set up the key action.

For changing the pace of effects in individual timelines, there is now a way to control the sliders for each projector individually, including the effect speed. The set of 4 buttons at the bottom of MasterBeam allows this.

MIDI Control: It appears there is a problem with Win7 64 and MIDI control. It's working fine on XP 32, but Microsoft changed 'something' in Win7 64 and it's not working, I will have to look into this further.

About your act... you are using an LDS dongle and not an LSX dongle, which means it's also keyed to your computer hardware also. I've set it up to be not very sensitive to hardware changes, but if too much changes it will warn you or deactivate. When that happens just send me the new code and I'll send you the updated act file. You can update to the LSX dongle any time you want by sending in the LDS dongle.

Nice abstracts swami, thanks for posting! Coloured, I look forward to checking that out later.

New update uploaded for the MIDI issue. Fixes MIDI messages not received if using MIDI device 1 on the list.

coloured, I looked at your file and the second animation event is just a tad shorter than the motion events below it, this is causing jumps occasionally. once aligned correctly it looks right.

Woo hoo, time for some MIDI stuff!

Really? So that was it! I must have set the timemark to a position at the end or something, and the events snapped to that instead of the end.

Hey can someone tell me how these dongles work, I bought one recently, just loaded the software on a computer, inserted dongle and it fails just like when you haven't a Lic file. I also renamed the activation.lic file on my working PC from before I had a dongle, inserted dongle and once again it acts like i have no lic file. I would assume the software would scan the usb bus before looking for a .lic file?? Please tell me these don't need a Lic file of some sort still. That is what I was trying to avoid in the event of a PC crash, I wouldn;t have to wait for a KEY. Please tell me what I am doing wrong.

drlava just needs to activate your key he sends them out unactivated in case they are lost in the mail then the only loss is the cost of the blank key once activated its also worth what ever software is locked to it

Thanks i'll contact him. Drlava beat me to the contact. Thanks! I was just very confused on how it worked. Being a 'D' personality always speaking my mind sometimes can be interpreted wrong. I have been very happy with this software; hence why I wanted to be sure I could always use it.
