[QUOTE=DieBoard;193821]Maybe a stupid question but what will perform better with this software a soundcard dac or riya multibus lite controller.
After reading here and there it seems to me that this software will give allot for a few bucks. You can make original shows/effects which cost allot of effort/knowledge but if all people (can) do the same show with a few clicks then where is the fun of it.

Yes, the "string of beads" technique used in the "A few clicks" software, which I assume you are referring to Panglin's "Quickshow" is rapid, and it has its merits. It also has limitations. Its really set up for Dance Party/Raves or simple synced shows.
LSX is far more capable when you really need to program a serious timed, multitrack show. That will arrive sooner then you think if you are serious about lasers.
Because the sound card dac data stream can be redirected with a virtual device, there are limitations on what included show content you can access with one on LSX. This is reasonable considering how time consuming and expensive it is to create content. Pangolin has a similar policy with their included content.
If you have the sound card dac with LSX, you can use all the creative tools, but you will have restricted access to the included shows. You can still create anything you like, there are no restrictions on the creativity suite. You also can still trade shows you and others have created. You can still save your work to ILDA format etc. This is to prevent simple piracy as there is a difference between distribution rights and outright ownership of the included content.
Honestly, having had a role in the development of the sound card dac, they can be less then reliable, often unstable, and you would be better off with even the tiny RIYA or another supported device. SCDs have had their purpose, but as costs are coming down on more professional or open source hardware, its time for them to fade to black.
I'm sure Dr Lava will be along to clarify my answer to this question.
