    Default Cleaning window

So, I just put together another corrected 445 and I am getting a ton of beam trash. Tried a different collimator and different prisms... still getting trash. Popped the diode out of the brass mount and there is a smudge on the can window. What is the best method for cleaning a diode window? Distilled water, isopropyl alcohol, acetone??? What swabs would be best?

I find this stuff and a Q-tip works wonders.

    Acetone if grease
    Methanol for everything else.

Drug store Isop. has water in it, which can leave films behind.

In a real emergency, very fresh 3% hydrogen peroxide is useful on transparent optics and multilayer coatings, but not silvered mirrors or aluminized mirrors.

Thanks Steve. I need to see if I have any good swabs. I don't wan to use the Q-tip ones.
