Sounds like indeed some weird static electricity.
try to ground the outside of the fogger somehow.
my fogger here doesn't do such a thing. it has to be the casing maybe you should block it somehow *don't cover the venting stuff!!!!!!*

You are low on laserpower so a consistant haze is mandantory for a good show, too much smoke will limit the visibility of you beams.

Make sure you have a good fan in front of the smoke machine, clouds of smoke will ruin the picture, and all you will see is smoke and no lasers.

just put the area in a light haze 5-10 minutes before the show begin so the beams can easyli puch trough the haze and it will be visible eveywhere.

Too little haze is bad, but to much (thick) smoke will be even worse as this will completly block you beams.

yep thanks, 2 fans will blow all the smoke into the room, because the projector goes on about 10 secs after the curtain goes open. gives a good time to devide the smoke.
but i thought it would be cool to fill the stage behind the curtain with smoke for a nice mysterious effect

Try that with the Antari, I dare you!

(Hint: you will get sore fingers from pressing that button constantly for about 15 minutes with reheat times of course)

i think 5~10 secs is enought to fill the whole stage with smoke. then when curtains open blow another 5~10 secs above the crowd and that will be enough for the whole show, i think.
i can always see for myself.

I think it depends a lot on which smoke fluid you use. I get far better results with Jem than with the piss they sell at the local mall. Also Jem's fog liquid has a distinctive alcohol odor

my fazer just died....now i have to use the cheap-ass fogger ONLY.
i have fair fluid that works fine. but a fogger is used for effects, not for smoke. i will do my best i guess :/

LOL a fazer is just an upgraded fog machine with a fan. You don't loose any effect xD
I only use a fog machine but then I don't use lasers that much (since I'm scared of the combo self-built and audience scanning and also my projector is just crap atm) and I get good results. Just put a fan in front of your fogger and you should be fine. If you can separate it from the sound and light power lines, that is!

Oh and how good do you understand electricity? I mean, you know that outlets can be connected to the same fuse, right? Don't forget to check which outlets are connected to which fuses and make sure you separate sound from light.

i dont understand alot of electricity but i dont need it tommorow.
I know that sound, smoke, light ect all need to be on different distribution boxes(maybe thats outlets, i used google translate). And that is not a problem in the room/stage where i'm going

so i just check in with the boss of the room wich will be present to ask wich outlets/distribution boxes i need to use to seperate my goodies.

and yeah i guess i can put a fan on the fogger :P thanks actually a good solution.

No no let me help out here.

What i was saying in dutch:
Ever looked in a fuse box?
Specific rooms/sockets are hooked up to a different group.
What they are trying to explain to you is that you have to keep light and sound seperated on 2 different groups.
So make sure you have a long power extension courd and do so

Depending on the location the room might not or will be on a different group
