You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Now there's a thought. In theory I think that should work. LivePro supports up to 4 input devices I recall.

Let me go and test it for you.

Aside#1: The layouts use channel 1 for most controls, channel 2 for cues and channel 3 for beams.
If anyone needs a full breakdown-list of each control assignment I can throw one together, should that help anyone.

Aside #2: I tried my best to do without making everyone manually "learn" all the commands. LivePro writes to a MIDI ini config file, however for some unknown reason to me, it only recorded the slider properties. The reset (special keys) seemed to embed themsevles in the main LivePro config.ini. (So the cue grid and specials keys would have to be done again anyway)

I was planning to distribute a "pre-setup" ini file, but figured if people were to overwrite their previous setups with a new one, it may cause problems. So left it out; making you all do it manually; sorry... but you only have to do it once!

Having the LP go through a seperate program which grabs all it's midi controlls. So that the virtual midi device which redirects the midi output can do this for you

Secondly you will not have to change any Livepro ini of defaults as you can swap controlls in any way you'd like.

Thats what I thought, a bit like midi yoke, so (for example) iPhone on channel 1, Zero on Channel 2 and it puts all inputs out on channel 3 which is what LP is listening on. Yes?

Sort of but this is all scripted in glovepie scripting language, it's easy for an other user to bring changes to the final script and fully adapt it to it's likeings.

    Whoop whoop!
Just tested it with my Behringer...

As thought, you CAN have two concurrent MIDI devices. Just plug in your Novation, fire up LivePro; and in the MIDI settings dialogue box, set your Novation as MIDI in #2.

Confirmed: Had both iPad and Behringer whizzing around on the same control at the same time.

However: all it will take to get everything working tickety-boo is a little remap of your Novation to match in line with the mapping for the layouts...
I better get to work on that mappings list...

Dan, I knew you could have multiple midi devices doing input, but I didn't know you could have them both controlling the same control. How does that work in the midi sliders for example? Do they both need to be using the same CC# on the same channel?

Sorry... I was having a dim moment then

Unfortunately yes, both need to be on the same channel and same CC/note.

Well thats cool, if you are doing a mapping list, it should be no problem for me to remap my automap to the same values. Not dim at all

Mapping list done; emailed around to all; will be included in the zip with all future purchases.

    Cheers,
    Dan
