    Question X Y Input Resistor

    Stupid question. I was disassembling the ILDA connector on my laser and found that the X and Y channels had a 10k resistor in series with the input. Is there any valid reason for this? BTW input is differential +/- 5v.

    As you can see in this schematic, input series resistors can be part of the input-stage.
