when using a prism pair you will end up with a beam that is like this after the prism pair:

    l l l l Instead of llll

unless you use one prism pair per diode and do the beam combining after the prisms...

you'll throw more power away due to clipping, but you'll get reduced divergence.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

that wont work as the beam after prism pairs is 5mm by 5mm as you expand the slow axis with a prism pair

it'll work. it's just highly inefficient.

You'll technically be able to stack the beams, but you're stacking 5mm thick beams instead of ~1mm beams so you'd end up with a 10x10 or 5x20 beam. Not so desirable to me.
