This should be fairly easy in the Frame editor.

right click an empty cue (and please pardon me if this isnt exact. im doing this from memory. dont have a QS in fornt of me) and click on "create" and then click on "animation"

in frame 1 draw a line where you want. then repeat the frame 20 or so times (play with this number for your desired effect)

add a frame- draw a line where you want it and adjust frame repeat time

add third frame- add line and repeat

do this for as many lines as you would like.

Let us know if it works or if you need more help.

Hi Marc if you have time maybe check on this animation in QS2.0 its under SHEETS on cue (A). I have really no idea how they did that, if anyone could explain that would help a lot, i figured out almost all the effects by dissecting them, but this one i have no idea... i like the fade in and out, but how was it achieved, I like that i can go ahead and rotate the line quick and move it around, but how was it animated so it shows one after the other.

(how the heck do i capture the frame i made and insert it here animated like you did?)

anyway, heres how i just did it a couple ways and its the exact same as what you are refering to-

    1) right click empty cue
    2) Click: "Create"
    3) Click: "New frame/animation"
    4) In frame 1 draw your line where you want it.
    5) Click "effect"
    6) Click on "Fade out"
-This step will automatically add in 40 frames for your fade out. If you look at the top next to Effect, it says "40." this is the default setting for adding a "quick effect." which is what your fade out would be. You can change this setting to any other number you want. obviously the larger the number here the longer it will take. the smaller the number, the shorter it will take. This is the amount of frames it adds for the chosen effect. This is another way to change how quickly the line fades out. For this example here i kept it at "40."
    7) You will notice that on the left, it added 40 frames for your fade out of the line you just drew.
    8) scroll to frame 40, and MAKE SURE you highlight frame 40.
    9) click on "Frame" in the top of the window
    10) click on "Add."
    11) In frame 41, add in your next line.
    12) Repeat steps 5-10 (except it will now be frame 80)
    13) After you get the amount of lines you want click "OK."
    14) This is now a saved cue. RIGHT click on the cue you just made
    15) Click on "Cue Properties"
    16) Go To "Image" tab.
    17) change your FPS (frames per second) to 50 or whatever speed you so desire. Again, obviously the higher the number the faster the effect will be.

    And there is your effect.

you can also do it by changing step 6/7 above. you can change the default steps to 5, 10, 20 or whatever you want to make the desired effect last shorter or longer.

Let me know how you make out.
