Thanks for that info .... I had no idea that other angle was so critical....this would explain why I could never get them to run up to specs using typical tilt mount.

Many hours of fiddling wasted down this route.

Yeah, that's what happened to me when I found out the price. About 45K USD 2-3 years ago iirc for 6 watts of white-light out of a shoe-box and a f.o. cable.

This is a non-linear fiber laser which I guess is similar to the non-linear crystal laser mentioned above. I don't know how they invent this sht .. Friggin geniuses . (That company has job openings)

[edit] - re-read the specs.. yes, it's less than 1 watt of visible .. -sigh- .. would still be cool as shit to have one tho ..

Look at the beam spots in the vid...divergence must be huge. But then the target area is for imaging/illumination/projector based tech. It will prove that laser tech will indeed evolve to a new level higher than this. Killer laser they have created. Love to get hold of some of that glass and the appropriate mirrors.......or maybe wait until someone manu's a product ............

Anybody found a source for Pr:PAYAC yet?

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.
