    Hey wayne,

just a thought that crossed my mind.
Do you think that the PSU you use is enough? Will 5v/4a for the cni and the reds cut it?

It's tight! The CNI measures 2A max (once the TEC stabalises) and the quad red draws 1.8A max.

To be honest, I am running the quad with just 2 x LD at the moment, as I can't adjust the final beam enough to fit the scanner mirrors. From the mock up test today, 665mW of red is looking fine.

Due to a totally blonde moment, I posted the rest of the build in the wrong thread, here: http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...145#post201145

Here is a really crappy quality video, taken with VLJ running.

Sorry, it's so long I had to compress the bejesus out of it...

Yeah! Over a year in the collecting phase...

I was going to procrastinate today, but I can't be bothered. I'll do it "tomorrow"...

I designed and built a GM20 driver today for my shutter. I used an opto-isolator on the inhibit input, to keep the 12V ground and interlock signal isolated and keep grounding simple. An N-Channel MOSFET as the switch and diode in parallel with the shutter reduced the bounce substantially.

Pictured below with the GM20 and Dave's new low mass arm.

And yes, the board is exactly the same size as the GM20! Only thinner.
